South East Essex Academy Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with seven schools within a reasonably close geographic area.

SEEAT MISSION

To raise and sustain educational standards in our schools through high aspirations for all.

SEEAT VISION

To be the Trust of choice:

  • First for pupils
  • First for parents
  • First for staff

WHAT THIS MEANS

Our vision is to be a family of schools that works together to deliver educational excellence based on the things that matter to us.  Without doubt, young people are at the heart of everything we do. We will make the most of our unique family of schools to give every pupil the best possible opportunity to flourish and develop into a decent, disciplined, well-educated, and employable young person. We are proud to be a cross-phase Trust serving the local community in South East Essex.  Being ‘local’ is vital to who we are and how we work.

In order to deliver educational excellence we need to recruit and retain the best people to work in our schools.  We will actively deliver wellbeing, flexible working and good training and personal development for our staff.  We will ensure they are challenged and supported and that they can see meaningful career pathways within the Trust.

SEEAT was inaugurated on 1st April 2014. This was made up from Westcliff High School for Girls, Prince Avenue Academy, Nursery and Children’s Centre (sponsored by WHSG) and Rochford Primary School and Nursery. The Trust enlarged on 1st September 2014 with WHSG sponsoring the academisation of Holt Farm Junior School and in September 2021 The Deanes, Hadleigh Junior School and The Westborough School joined the SEEAT family.

Please get in touch if you are interested in the benefits we can bring. We would love to hear from you!

Joining SEEAT

We aim to grow our family of schools to between 6,000 and 12,000 pupils as we believe this is the most effective size for a family of schools to deliver meaningful school improvement within the local community.  We are prepared to consider any type of school joining our family, as long as they share our vision and values.

We are always open to enquiries from schools and academies that would like to find out more about our Trust and the opportunities to join us.

If you would like to find out more, please contact our Chief Executive, Mr Andrew Cooper through the e-mail info@seeat.org
