WHSG A Level Students celebrate success

At Westcliff High School for Girls, students have been celebrating success in 23 different A level subjects as they finally got to open their results today. 

Seven students were successful in securing their places at Oxbridge with another seven students qualifying to study medicine at their first choice University.   

Olga Mitala was awarded 3 A* Grades and 1 A and will be going to Cambridge to study History and Modern Language. Olga said  “I’m so relieved. It’s been a long process and I’m so thankful for the support from the teachers”. 

Isabel Beresford Cole, former Head Girl, was awarded 4 A* grades and will be going onto Cambridge University to study Human, Social and Political Science.  

Jennifer Duffy obtained the grades required to join the Jimmy Choo Fashion Academy and Sara Kocylo will be starting a degree apprenticeship in insurance in the City.  

Prakruti Rao obtained 5 A* Grades securing her place at Cambridge to study Law.  

Andrew Cooper, Headteacher of Westcliff High School for Girls, part of the South East Essex Academy Trust commented: 

`We are very proud of our young people. They have made it through an incredibly tough two years and the results they have achieved are tremendous and will enable them to move on to their next steps in life. The grades also reflect the amazing staff who supported our students personally and academically for which I am truly grateful."
