30th August 2022

Students at Westcliff High School for Girls have been celebrating their GCSE results in 20 different subjects.

The results at the grammar school saw almost every student gaining a good pass (grade 5 or above) and an incredible 81.9% of students achieving the top grades 7-9.

There were also some impressive Individual performances. 4 students achieved the highest grade 9 in all 11 subjects they entered whilst 16 students gained grade 9 in 9 or more subjects.

Andrew Cooper, Headteacher of Westcliff High School for Girls, which is part of the South East Essex Academy Trust commented:

`We are very proud of our young people. They have made it through an incredibly tough two years and the results they have achieved are tremendous and will enable them to move on to their next steps in education.’

‘The resilience they have shown is remarkable. They are inspiring and talented young people and we could not be prouder of them.’

‘We look forward to welcoming many of them back into our large sixth form in September.’
