Year 9 STEM competiton WINNERS!
17th July 2018WHSG students demonstrating their programmable electronic project at Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society Competition 2018 to local MP Vicky Ford.
There were seven teams in total and the competition was held at the campus of the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.
The awards were announced on July the 14th. We compete every year and it is an enjoyable day for all.
The girls won the Engineering prize (Junior category) for their Electronic Pet Tracking device. The judges were very impressed with their new concept design and how well they presented their idea and understanding of the programmable circuit they had constructed. The Mayoress of Chelmsford presented the team with their winning Shield and certificates.
I would especially like to thank our STEM Ambassadors Mr Bye, Mr Simple and Mr Chapman who attend our STEM club on a voluntary basis to help the students with their projects. Well done all!
