Jack Petchey September Winner Gabriella Rockenbach

23rd November 2018

Congratulations to Gabriella Rockenbach, in year 10, for being the September winner for the Jack Petchey Award.

"Gabriella devotes her time to other people, especially her younger twin sisters. She should be admired for her ability and want to help others. She is selfless and always puts other people before herself. She is a devoted and caring sister, looking after her twin sisters' needs. Even though she was busy revising for her own examinations she tirelessly helped her sisters to adapt to life in their new school. Dedicating hours to reading and helping them with homework. She has a passion for sport and has been playing football and Martial arts for many years. Recently she became a role model to others by becoming a Sports Ambassador, where she spent time playing and motivating students in Tennis for WHSG. Her peers say she is a very supportive friend, and she is dedicated to her school and will spend time on any task, inside or outside of school. Gabriella cares deeply about her community and the world she lives in, finding ways to help and assist others whenever possible. She is highly thought of by all her teachers as she always strives for her best."

As part of the prize Gabriella was asked if there was an area within school that she would like money donated to. Gabriella has generously donated the money to Computer Science.
