Jack Petchey Foundation October 2018 Winner- Naomi Malamba
28th November 2018Our October winner, Naomi Malamba, is a pupil who is an amazing member of the school community.
In her 6 years at Westcliff High School for Girls she has been a member of the Year Council helping make decisions that affect the school. She has always been involved in any school events from Form activities to helping at Open Evenings.
Outside school she sits on the Southend Youth Council where she helps with projects to improve the local community. One of the reasons she attends is to make life better for those who live in the vicinity of the school.
For this student English is a second language. This has made her more determined to succeed and has not stopped her from inspiring others to work harder.
She is a Sport’s Ambassador and her positivity makes all those who come into contact with her smile. She has represented the school on the Netball team every year since Year 7.
Naomi would like the prize money to go to the business department.
